A whole flock of American Robins desended into the meadow the other day eating the Buckthorn berries-I was told that there are over 181 subspecies of American Robins in North America-these ones are from much further north and migrate to enjoy our milder (ha!) climate whereas the ones we think of as ours are already gone!
