First Saturday night:   Pot Luck and campfire/ sing a long (please bring guitars, instruments, song books etc…)

Second Saturday night:  1st ever hopefully annual Campfire Talent Show and Skit Night!

This is going to be an amazing program! This is not the typical come-n-build type class that you may visit at various other places in Chicago. This is taking engineering and sciences of legos to a whole new level. Art Institute Educator Network and Educator Annual Pass
Join the Art Institute Educator Network when you visit the Crown Resource Center. Network members receive an Educator Annual Pass that grants the bearer unlimited free admission to the museum, borrowing privileges in the Crown Resource Center’s library, 10% discount in the Kids Shop, and admission to the Ryerson and Burnham Libraries until September 1, 2010. Classroom Connect
Classroom Connect is the Art Institute’s customized professional development program for educators. We are in the process of restructuring this program and will not be accepting any program requests until September 2010. For questions or more information, call (312) 443-3719.

Exploring through Art

Let’s have fun while exploring with different art mediums.

Each week we will have a variety of materials to explore, as well as a specific craft activity. Choose to do any or all of it! Some of the materials will include clay, watercolors, stamps, collage, beads, and building toys. We will have a special take home craft each week as well.
Exploring through Art will be held Tuesdays, from 12m to 2pm, beginning September 7th through November 2. The reason for the 2 hours is to allow flexibility with your schedule.  Come when you can, stay as long as you want!  This workshop will be held at The Ethical Humanist Society,7574 N Lincoln Ave in Skokie. We will be in the preschool rooms just to the right of the entrance way.
Cost is $50 per child, additional siblings $40 per child. Register by August 15th for a $5 discount per child.
The workshop is geared for ages 2 to 6. That being said, we are flexible, if you think your child will have fun, by all means, join us!

Calling all card game enthusiasts, board game lovers, trading card
moguls! We are having a weekly club where the kids can play these games together, hone their skills, and build great friendships too!

The target age for this club is 6 to 12 years old, boys and girls welcome.

We will be meeting Thursdays from 1-3pm, beginning September 9th through November 18th in the activity room in the children’s department of the Morton Grove library.
